New Runes will become Ardent Censer 2.0

The meta was entirely decided by which champions abused a broken item the most. The same is going to be true for runes this season unless something drastically changes.

A handful of damage champions are out of control because the runes amplify the damage they do to ridiculous levels. Tanks, especially ones with %hp in their kit, deal bruiser-level damage while building tanky because of how much the runes buffer their damage and augment their CC.

When it's a champion's kit that's broken, the players at least have some sort of control over it -- just ban the champion. When it's an item (or a rune) that's broken, you can try to ban some of the most prominent abusers, but there will still always be other options available to take advantage of it.
