Change to Solo Ranked

Made a post about this before, just wanting to spark the debate again as I know I am not alone on this thought.

Riot has made a number of significant changes to make the game quicker and more team based, with more to come (if they keep the mana changes they are proposing), in order to try and breath life back in to LCS viewership as people were complaining how boring it was to watch a 35 min tank slug fest. Even without these changes, the fact ranked has not changed their system in so long is still perplexing, especially with the evolution of monitoring programs these past years. This leads me to my first point: Ranked Solo/Duo Que should not be solely based off W/L.

Problem: This W/L way of ranking players is outdated, unfair, and offers no way for players to improve their gameplay outside of watching VoDs or looking for coaches. I also firmly believe this contributes to the toxicity of the community, in a huge way, as someone can be doing everything they need to do to win their lane and impact the game, but that top laner goes 0-5 and tilts, so while you are trying your hardest you know you will still be losing the same lp as that guy who went hard feed mode and gave up. There is absolutely NO incentive to try when your team gives up now, especially since the days of hopping on an assassin and carrying an entire team are pretty much gone. (There are rare occasions you can do it, but VERY rare.)

How to fix this: How players are graded needs a significant overhaul. While this is definitely a TEAM game, there are very clear gaps in skill in every game you play. There are almost always those that need to be carried, and the ones doing the carrying. It is ridiculous that not only the one doing the carrying will lose as much lp as the worst guy on the team (give or take 5 points), but that the same guy would gain as much lp even though he was hard carried, thus leading him to go handicap another team. So basically he won without having a single clue how it happened. The grading needs to not only be W/L based, but based heavily off personal performance. cs per minute, objective damage, vision score, kill participation, tower damage, etc. Games are always so one sided (at least 90% of the time) it is ridiculous. Every game you can see the huge skill gap in just players alone, on each team. Everyone should not be graded together, in solo/duo que, period, unless Riot can somehow prove they have perfected the matchmaking system where EVERYONE in the game is at exactly the same skill level.

Final thoughts: Riot has the money, time, and manpower to make this happen. Honestly there are more then enough programs already in existence, like the grading oneI suggested, that thry could literally just buy it off someone. Summoners rift, Runes/Masteries, and even Champions have had complete overhauls, so why is Solo/Duo que still stuck in the unbalanced state it has always been in, ESPECIALLY with how much more team focused securing a win has become? If you wish to debate any of this, please do comment as I would like other's opinions. As I see it, and as many posts I have seen see it, Solo/Duo que is insanely unbalanced and outdated.

Sincerely,

A Garbage Player

That would just make people focus on solo play instead of team play. Destroying Nexus is all that matters when it comes to LP gain and loss. Nothing else.

Umm this game is not a true team game . More of a co-op. Go play heroes of the Storm that's a true team game
