Edit: Ok let me clarify what i mean since the sion update was so long ago and now taric is even updated. Old sion had a extremely large playerbase of mains with upwards of 75-85% winrates on him. When he got reworked alot of the sion mains (me soul tran and others) asked riot why specifically sion was reworked.

They gave us exactly 2 reasons 1: sion didnt have alot of skill to him. Which is why sion mains had insanely high winrates and sion newbs had insanely low winrates which is why i discarded this reason.

reason 2: his old q "cryptic gaze"- fire a skillshot hitting the target for 100-300 damage stunning him for 1.5 seconds. was exactly like tarics old q "dazzle"- fire a skillshot hitting the target for some amount of damage (i didnt main him) and stunning for 1.1-1.5 seconds.

Now they reworked old taric so the spell is no longer existing in the game. With this new development where chogaths e is basically becoming mordekaisers q it completely removes the second reason meaning there was absolutely no reason to rework sion.

Why was there no reason to rework old sion? Did it keep any identity of the old kit? no, the only things similar are the sheild. The passive doesnt count since it does nothing for him. Did old sion need to be reworked to become played again? Obviously not since alot of the complaints of players when they played him literally was "pizza feet". The only other reason you had to rework him is because he was boring. If this is the case why did you literally make the second most boring top laner in the game?

TLDR: my point is if you dont have a reason to rework the champion why not just let there be 2 champions in the game? I'm simply pointing out the hypocracy.
