If League Of Legends had a textbook...

Im in a discussion with someone on the boards about why alot of bronze players exist. This analogy came into my mind, and I'd like to see what everyone thinks. For transparency, I am gold 5 on this account, my ranked account is gold 3, and I am right where I belong right now. I dont deserve Plat yet

The ranks would be chapters. ** Preface: **The problem is you. Accept responsibility for whatever rank you are currently in, and improve your knowledge of the game to climb. Riot, the current Meta, your team, the enemies team, are all cop-out excuses that prevent you from taking responsibility for your inability to climb. This goes for every rank, not just bronze.

**Chapter 1: Bronze/Low Silver: ** --Learning Roles at a basic level (support, jungle, top, mid, adc)
--Learning Champions, and their abilities. --Coordination with pings.

**Chapter 2: High silver: ** --Picking a main and secondary role --Understanding the Average Damage Output of each champion. --Decision making (Fight or Flight) --Lane Pressure, Map Awareness, Basic Vision --Farming (basic)

Chapter 3: Gold --Fully understanding your role's reason for existing --Observing opponents builds --Objectives and their benefits --Tracking Enemy Movements --Advanced Decision Making (get in, get out, Let objectives go/Contest objectives) --Optimal Build Paths against specific types of teams. --Vision control, (both placing and removing enemy wards) --Farming under tower advanced farming

Chapter 4: Platinum --Advanced Team Coordination --Complex builds --Countering Enemy Team Comps --Optimal vision control (knowing where to place and remove optimal wards.) --Optimal Farm

I wont do higher then plat, because in all honesty I've never been that high, and couldnt tell you the main differences between plat, diamond, and masters in terms of gameplay.

My point here is if you understand the bullet points beneath your respective chapter, you will climb out of that division. I modeled this idea around the rank distribution from this source:

https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/rank-distribution

I know there is a ton of bronze players on the boards, and I want to ensure everyone knows this isnt an attack on a specific rank. I truly believe, (and have personally experienced this as I was bronze in season 2 and 3) that once you gather this knowledge, and accept responsibility for your current rank, you will climb out of that division without many problems.

One last point, these bullet points are not written in stone, each role may have to learn more than listed, some may have to learn less (support won't have to learn to farm to the same extent as an adc) and you will pick up knowledge from every game you play. You may be bronze, but you will learn vision control with every game played. I say once you have a 90% or higher knowledge of a certain bullet point, you should be able to see a vast improvement to your game.

I really like this idea, and would love feedback (both negative an positive.) If you are plat or higher, I would love for a bit of insight to what you feel is a major difference between your rank, and the one above/below you. Thanks for reading!
