If Vayne is so busted then why is she completely irrelevant in the current competitive scene?

Only game I saw her picked/banned was played by RNG where they were the first ones to lose tower and eventually get rekt.

It's still the exact same 2017 meta, Tristana/Kog/Kalista/Varus/Xayah with Ezreal now. Meanwhile legit broken champs like Zoe/Orinn are confirmed broken by their high pick/ban rates, nobody is even acknowledging Vayne.

Really makes you think.

Because competitive scene is 100% teamwork. If people work together against Vayne, they know how to shut her down (destroying her early game and hard focusing her during teamfights / not letting her farm), same goes for Nasus

A champ can be broken in solo play but not so in organised play, the same goes for vice versa as well, that is also assuming your claim that she is irrelevant in pro play is right since I'm not the biggest follower of pro plays.

After all, she's currently sitting at a 33.52 pick rate with a 54.14% win rate according to OPGG. Even a blind man could see that she definitely has issues.

"Ya boy Heimerdinger does some serious damage. Probably too much, in fact..."

Has been played as a competitive choice, outside of joke games, twice in 3 years, both due to his recent rework. And yet people complain about him a lot and he got nerfed.

Competitive matches are very different to what we play. I expect her to be played more than she was last season but pros love their 'safety', I think she's a little more high risk out of some ADCs and not as useful if the enemy aren't armour tanks. If Rammus and Malphite come back into the meta then she'll be picked up more.

The issue is the Competitive Scene has significantly more Teamwork (communication, practice, etc), thousands of hours of Experience/Practice (these people get paid to play this game), and are Skilled enough to be in the Competitive Scene in the first place (Master+ Tier).

Compare that to SoloQ Silver (just chose a random rank) and it's a completely different environment.

I sometimes think the Competitive Scene should have separate balancing from everyone else so balancing can be tuned better for all players, but this can't work due to the Competitive Teams needing to practice against other players to maintain their position.

I can use a good example. Even if let's say MasterYi , was overbuffed and had something crazy like 60% winrate in solo q, he still wouldn't be picked in competitive. You can gues why.

Its almost like competitive is a different game. I wonder why pro players say that over and over again.

Solo q and competitive league are very different.

She is NOT completely irrelevant in competitive. Not so long time ago LPL team picked her.

Competitive Scene generally like to abuse champs who can deliver high damage(any ADC) but can also spread a lot of damage and cc, MF ulti and the slow of her E for example. Ashe's 5 second long Stun, lol. Jinx's damage output in general with her E for CC and R's AOE if it hits the right target

Vayne is duelist as far as ADC go. She can't kill 2 people at the same time. Irelia is a duelist who fucking shreks Mini-Gnar, she can deal a lot and tank a lot but she can only focus down one enemy. Gnar, even when underleveled, his Kit when Mega is full of stuns and slows that will train-wreck a team when utilized right. Which is why Gnar sees playtime in the LCS and Irelia, extremely rare if ever.
