Will Mordekaiser be receiving a gameplay update anytime soon?

I started playing back in the middle of season 1. When I discovered Mordekaiser, I found the champ that would bring me from level 12-30. I played him until about season 2 religiously, picking him as my mid over anyone else most of the time. Season 3 came and I realized that Morde as a champion lacks a lot of the tools that most midlaners and toplaners (which is where he is mostly played) bring to a team. I would sometimes play him in a team that already had a good amount of cc and mobility, and still regret my decision. Season 4 up until now, I have barely played him at all, and regret it every time.

My question is not "What are you guys at Riot going to do with Mordekaiser?" as I don't really care about the specifics, I know that if you see him like I do you'll do something, and it'll be an improvement. My question is "DO you see a problem with him, or is he working as intended even with all the shiny new tools the game has. And if you do, do you have a schedule in place to correct his issues?"

Thanks for reading, I hope to see a response from Riot but I know you guys are busy with Rek'Sai and preseason stuff. I'm off to play another game as jungle Nunu aka Mr. Steal-yo-buffs.

I wouldn't say I regret every time I pick morde, for example I will pick morde a lot against teams that are low on AP champion picks. He counters a lot of traditional bully laners because of his kit but he's far too open to being ganked because the only way you can survive in lane is to push it. To put it in terms rito will understand: There's no [Strategic Diversity] with mordekaiser!
