shift + right click vs A + left click
one targets the thing closest to you and the other one does the same, within range, but lets you choose. One thing i am wondering, though, is whether or not the movement in shift right click is intended or not.
with A and left click you can click where you want to move then to attack whatever is closest. This is a good strategy whenever there are wards or minions or things you simply do not want to hit yet shift right click would aim to these unintended targets. It also allow for freedom of going where you want when kiting and dodging while attacking, or chasing even (bush jukes and what not).
Now, shift right click is the dominant autoattacker. My problem with this mechanic is that it is not very good. It does not move your champ even if you click somewhere else (going backwards for kiting). if it is in range, your champ will attack. HOWEVER, if it is not in range, it will go and make your champion move and chase the closest minion to you and aa that, EVEN when it is out of range. What gives? This mechanic is awesome on kalista because the jumping allows for movement while never stopping or being slowed down by your own reflexes. The problem is when i leap out of range, and im shift clicking, my champion would go back to AA even if im clicking in the opposite direction. what the hell? is this intended? is this a bug? it certainly feels like a bug because i am definitely not telling my champion to walk that way but rather the opposite direction, to look for a target in that general direction and attack it if it is within range, not walk to wherever there is a close target and attack THAT.
Can anyone enlighten me on this one?
Of course, there is always the right-click-only kind of guy but that allows for a misclick and a death... id rather not.
