Why is Lee sin in every single meta?

All champions have been in meta and out of it. So why does this champion get so much fucking love by riot? When the assassin was shit and it was the cinderhulk meta even then it was ok to play compare to something like khazix. In every meta it was a decent pick. It takes skill to play? THen what about azir? why does it get gutted to the fucking ground for being ONLY good in Professional play and be left in the gutter for 2+ years? How the hell is this fair? What is this bs favoritism?

He isnt..

Because he's the most generalist champion that exists. He can do everything, so he will always be useful.

Really he is just a well designed champion. He can do a lot of jobs for a team and he is quite fun to play. It's just like Thresh.

Sp4xx5/26/2019, 5:07:57 PM7 votes

His kit's really good in many different comp. He has high mobility, good damage, utility... Not the fastest clear but not the slowest either. He can start pressuring and winning trades against a lot of junglers once he hit lvl 2. He's just overall a very good and well designed champion.

His kit allows him to be very versatile. Play against a tanky teamcomp? Get a more utility oriented build and use kick + shield to peel for ADC (who can kill tank). Assassin meta? Reveal the stealthed one using E and oneshot them using a well placed Q + R + Q Combo. He can setup teamfight, get picks, etc...

I don't see him that often in soloqueue. I think Karthus, Hecarim, Reksai, Nunu, Rammus are much stronger pick in the current meta. But I agree that he's always a good and reliable pick most of the time.

We had two seasons where the old penisheaded thumb-thumb was barely seen at all because they removed trackers knife and nerfed vision. I mean, these boards used to be a NERF LEE emporium, and yet it is only recently that complaints about him have begun again.

He is cemented in the meta right now because Jungle exp is appallingly garbage at the moment (which instead of making things easier on laners ensures that ONLY early game pressure junglers may be played with much success), and he is not terribly reliant on levels. Also, Lee has always been the iconic pressure jungler. He is as much the mascot of league as Ahri is, unfortunately money talks.

Furthermore, his mobile kit feels rewarding to learn from those who like to think themselves "skilled" simply because their champion is difficult to punish through their many, many dashes.

To be fair, an experienced Lee Sin can be terrifying. I have never liked seeing him, but you can't say he hasn't suffered in the last two seasons.

Shhhh don't speak. Don't complain.

I don't care as long as he doesn't DOMINATE every meta.

I have played this game so many years and I will tell you that any jungle meta that has Lee Sin under 50% pickrate is a gift from the heavens.

We had entire competitive seasons where Lee Sin neared 90% pickrate. Neverending borefests of Lee vs [either Kha or Elise].

We had Lee Sin setting the bar for who is allowed to jungle for literally YEARS. He would just sit in your jungle, farm your camps and kill you whenever he pleased.

It is EVIDENT that Riot has an unfathomable hard-on for the blind boi, and it took an utterly idiotic amount of time in order to realize that having him THAT dominant was unhealthy for the game as whole.

We ended up with a nice deal in the end: Lee Sin will be guaranteed to be Tier 1 no matter the meta and the balance team will refrain their impulses to buff him into "undisputed king of the jungle" once again.

It's because the player base loves Lee Sin. You want an answer to every question you have? It's Riot trying to work around us.

Why does Lux get half a dozen skins a year? The player base wants them.

Why do they not nerf Yasuo? Because the player base loves playing him.

Why does Azir get left to rot? Because the player base doesn't give a shit about Azir.

Literally, we dictate this shit with our play patterns, our viewing habits, and our wallets.

he was mediocre for majority of s7 and first half of s8

his kit is just versatile. He and J4 are base staples of junglers, and if jungle is weak these two usually get really popular

Cevrad5/26/2019, 10:59:14 PM1 votes

He isn't in this meta?

xAcidik5/27/2019, 12:19:32 AM1 votes

He is a champion with tons of counterplay, and him being strong isn't unhealthy for the game. Because of that, he doesn't need to be nerfed.

He also has a number of strong builds, from assassin to bruiser, which makes him versatile enough flex through the meta shifts. Hes not a 1v9 monster like Vayne and he doesn't have nearly unavoidable ganks like Hecarim. Lee is honestly the perfect example of what every champ should be.

On My Kill List5/27/2019, 2:20:22 AM1 votes

technically your not wrong. during the cinderhulk/tank meta lee sin was usable even then.

Dingding1235/27/2019, 5:33:20 AM1 votes

He's one of those "skill cap" champions. So he's always at least viable if you've mastered him.

Key word "if".

Most people haven't. Lol

Man, if only he were an Angery Short-haired Whamen with a Broken Sword...

MordridtheBlack5/27/2019, 11:28:56 AM1 votes

Lee Sin doesn't see the Meta; so the Meta can't see him

Krytoric5/27/2019, 1:34:51 PM1 votes

he used to be the best early game jungler but now hes kinda mid tier i think. idk why you randomly have a problem with him now

GigglesO5/26/2019, 1:23:11 PM1 votes

I have only ever rotated between banning 3 champions based on their play rate and popularity.

Lee Sin Vayne Ezreal

One of them is almost always in meta. I did ban Lee 3 years straight whenever I got to ban.

iDarkWind5/27/2019, 1:35:19 PM1 votes

He isn't. It's just that he has a big and dedicted player base and you see a Lee Sin quite often. It doesn't mean that he's meta tough.

LetMeAfkPlss5/26/2019, 1:49:04 PM1 votes

cuz people are blind

FSRER5/26/2019, 1:52:29 PM1 votes

Because if you take a look at the LCS or any region LoL competitive series, 4 out of 10 games and for high elo, thats very, very common. As long as no pro player says he is overpowered, they won't balance him even tho he can basically 1v2 with warrior enchantment and black cleaver. Oh and they totally "nerfed" him by removing the warding jungle item.

the champions kit is for one just really good and pro players love him. he also looks good to the audience when pros use him.

but never mind lee sin. lets talk about yasuo....... riots true favorite.

Frontline Fury5/26/2019, 6:13:45 PM1 votes

He is a hypermobile early game champion that plays like an assassin doubling as an offtank diver, with crowd control that can be used for peeling as well as initiation. The only reason he isn't must pick is because he falls off when people starts grouping.

Support Position5/26/2019, 6:19:38 PM1 votes

Cause his kit is favouritism. Overloaded.

This site comes the closest to riots own data they said. He’s pretty weak. So how is he in every meta? Stop crying and don’t get hit by q.
