Variety, and Safety, in Champ Select.
Hello, I am silver trash, BUT, I think I'm a decent story teller, and wisdom can come from fools at times.
Last season I was maining
. On my good games, I would carry super hard, but she has some really bad match-ups.
I HATED first picking, but I really felt all my other champs were weaker, so I would cross my fingers, and just first pick her.
This felt horrible. :(
So often I see the advice, "Main 2 or 3 champs." and I think it is good advice, but what I don't see mentioned, is to have a BLIND PICK main.
If you wanna main X champ, but they have 3 or 4 hard counters in the meta, I'm sorry, I would really suggest ONLY playing that champ, when you have knowledge of your laner.
This season, I got M7
and I've been playing the shit out of him.
If I first pick him.... how bad can it be? After I blind pick, and then the enemy picks X SHITFUCK champ I can't stand,
is a champ that can AT LEAST safely farm.
Then games when I KNOW what I'm facing, I can pull out other more risky picks. It just makes the whole world seen less scary, and I get the shit beat out of me less.
I'm not saying everyone main Urgot lol, there are quite a few champs like this I think, who are tough lane bullies, that can farm, and deal with whatever you throw at them.
For Top
come to mind.
If I get filled mid, and I'm blind picking? Oh yeah gimme that
or
Whatever you pick, I'm not interacting with you, unless I want too. LOL
Support? Ill grab
or
or
Basically SAFE picks!
Just some food for thought, to anyone struggling with this issue.
If you REALLY wanna main something like
, and blind pick that shit.... I think your cray cray.
Peace and love peoples.
