Why isn't the mmr for a normals game balanced.

Surely it's not right? What if I want to improve my skill against players that are my elo, but without having to play ranked, surely if I could practice against my current elo, the next few ranked games might be a little easier, but nope, there's a plat, 2 silvers, 1 gold, and a bronzie. It can't really be that hard right? And to tell you the truth, I would much rather face a little bit of a longer queue time for a balanced match, than to be thrown into a fiesta 24/7. Just my opinion.

The problem is that Ranked MMR and Normal MMR are two different things so a player can be challenger but have bronze MMR since they never play normals.

They have different MMRs. If I'm solo I often play with and against a lot of Golds/Plats/Low Diamonds which helped me a lot last year when climbing in ranked.

Bottom line, learn your champions, learn how to itemize, learn how to marco. Can't expect to win games if you dont understand how to play the game or your own champion.

Go play ranked if you want equal matchs. Don't like what I said? Play another game

I'm not sure MMR is even taken into account in normals. I had 3 out of 5 games yesterday where there are more that 300 MMR between the teams, and it seems to be happening more and more often. Sorry but I doubt it'll change.

Mmr for normal is balanced. There is just no way to factor in ripple not caring about normal games.

In normals people are allowed to make premades of any size with no MMR restriction and it's very common to have people with wildly different normal MMR grouping together. So the system does its best but it can only do so much.
