The new Ranked system for 2019 pushes you EVEN MORE into 1 role and here's why

Unless i completely misunderstood what they said, we gonna they gonna have the exact opposite effect fo what they said (being able to do ranked in multiple roles). Especially for players that likes TO CLIMB with multiple roles (fill players, or duo-tri roles players).

If the new system gives you a different ranking system for each role you play, then it just means very simply that you'll be forced to main 1 role at all times, Example here so you can udnerstand:

Example: I am a player who is confident in his ability to reach pretty much the same level of play (let's say PLATINUM 3) using Support, Top, and Jungle, and i like to keep variety when i rank up.
WIth the new system if my highest queue at the moment is support at plat 3, but my queue as Toplaner is Gold 1, my victories as toplaner has no impact whatsoever on my highest ranking (the one i want to use to climb) meaning this totally kills the ability to do ranked games (and climb) with multiple roles.

So... i'm not the only one who ranks up using multiple roles for sure (Azael the caster said multiple times he maisn top but he likes to play ranked as fill), any explanatiosn or clarifications on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Excuse me, but I play every role except jungle and I like the system they are implementing. It allows you to have a fair matchup no matter where you are placed and pardon me when I say I don't wanna play against a Plat ADC when I am a SIlver ADC.

It works for over 90% of the community and solves problems people like you have been bitching about for years now.

This system seems like complete and utter garbage. It caters to the people who only play one role or champion. This is system is trash and is going to end up like Dynamic Queue. Riot really needs to stop pandering to the people who complain about every little thing. People need to sack up and stop crying about playing an off role once in twenty games.

If you cannot play just two positions at your current MMR, you have abso-fucking-lutely ZERO business being there

Remains to be seen, like how does your posisitional rank relate to your overall rank? Is it strictly mmr? Everything could change. But I think based on what they said, we should be giving them feedback. Unlike Dynamic queue they aren't rolling it out suddenly, they want to see if we like the idea well in advance..

The point is that having plat 3 times is better than having plat once and at the same level as people who only play one role.

It's more of a grind early on but a huge amount of people plateau mid year and this gives them a way of learning new roles to improve in the game (as they'll learn things that apply to their main role). Also being high ranked in multiple roles is much better than being high ranked in one role (which is still okay)

If what you're saying is true that really stinks. I'm not even a triple role player and I'm pretty sure that'll be worse for me. I play mid and jungle and it is often very mood dependant. I've gone on long jungle sprees and long mid sprees. Having different ranks for the two roles will just feel really crappy. If I go on a mid kick and get to Gold as a midlaner I theoretically won't want to play jungle anymore because my jungle is lower rank and if we're all honest Silver is a huge mess.

While you are complaining about it, the majority of the playerbase just wants to play their favourite role. I mean people were crying only about autofill for a while because it "pushed them into other roles" which they didn't want.

It's still unclear to me how the specifics of this system will work exactly. But at face value, it seems like it just adds additional grinding.

This is also why I think its better if they do Rank by Champion, not Role.

I'm pretty sure they're gonna give more rewards for people who rank up multiple roles. This is the incentive. Possibly even multiple victorious skins etc
