My ranked role was switched at the end of my game?

I apologize if this is posted somewhere but I couldn't seem to find information on it. At the end of a ranked game that I was ADC it told me I had been switched to Support rank and had played my first placement game as support. Yes, my support did better than I did. I had some connections issues where my internet dropped several times but I still ended up positive, was present the entire second half of the game and even won. I was given leaver status and my roles got switched. I wasn't sure if it had anything to do with my "leaver" status or if this is going to be a common occurrence in ranked play? If your support happens to get a lot more kills than I do will I always have my role switched? I don't feel like that is good at all if so... Many ADCs will end up raging and resenting their lane partner.... How can I possibly try to climb in a role that is subjected to be changed at the end?

That goes to how we define bot and support. While traditionally it was the marksmen was not and the enchanter was the support, riot is trying to expand both roles to include mages, tanks, bruisers, etc. If a team does a double mage comp like Zyra swain bot lane, we need a new way to differentiate the two roles.

As a result, the “bot” role is the person getting the majority of the cs in lane and the “support” role is the person getting close to no cs in lane. Between you and your lane partner, the person getting the lion share of cs no Lansing phase is identified as the bot lane players.
