A note on "community"

To whom it may concern,

I have been an admirer and devoted player since Season 1 and have been continuing to spread word about the endless hours I've spent having fun on League. I've recruited over 10 people to play through the years and all are currently active.

I've "quit" this game many times over, though one does not simply 'quit' League, the point is why I keep quitting

Your community is endlessly toxic... and you can't do anything about it.

Coming from a 10 year WoW background, It's clear to me what the main difference is between PTP and FTP. In WoW, strangers greet you with kind remarks, offer you Gold or anything else to help you along the way. They offer voice chat for free coaching to people in need. If you're losing against them in PvP, GG is granted and both parties laugh about it. There are no 'sore winners' as we've been taught over the years by our elders, how to properly deal with society over the internet... as we're still human behind the screen.

That's something I see too often while playing this game, I actively report my own teammates if they say it. God help me if someone said that to me in real life after a sports game, they'd get ripped by everyone around them. It's the most cruel passive/aggressive comment possible and you're doing nothing about it, riot? I can safely say, you've lost over 50% of your members over the age of 25 (from my own experience) due to this following reason alone:

League is a children's game.

Growing up in a small town, I've learned in the best way possible what "community" should mean... and you surely have the opposite of that.

I am not quitting yet, I still have some patience left in me, but to my inevitable retreat I say, it's a shame such a good game was ruined by an unpoliced toxic community.

Riot, please save this game.
