We Happy Few
Before I proceed with my questions I would like to provide a summary (kinda lengthy) of my experience playing my role (Support) this season.
Overall I found this year to be quite frustrating due to a few key factors. First off the homogeneous itemization for supports (noticeably tank supports) has watered down the experience of playing these champions to a near mundane level. If they weren't able to make big flashy plays i'd probably play them significantly less. Some items
are so flat out better than many other support items
that they push them to be mere outliers. For example in a recent patch you gave both
and
a healing amplification bonus due to being built through forbidden idol. I was disappointed because this made crucible the de facto better purchase for every practical situation for supports to the point ardent censer is rarely seen.
In conjunction with this is the issue surrounding pink wards. As we push into the 32 1/2 min plus portions of matches tanks and carries are more concerned with matching their power with their counterparts. As a result the onus of maintaining true vision (especially vs stealth champs) has been put onto supports to the point where we have to forgo an item slot to maintain this source of vision. I have found this to be a very frustrating experience. Following up on this is the amount active up time supports have on the map that doesn't involve placing or, removing vision.........we don't have any. We aren't allowed to farm and we cant push side waves w/o the aide of a few niche items.(which we dont have a reliable source of income to purchase these items in a timely manner) The issue is compounded when playing reactive supports
to where many minutes are spent just waiting around for our teammates to make decisions when our kits lack dictation of gameplay when no objectives are present (baron/dragon) or, when the death timers are at a point to where teams are playing extra conservative and taking no risks.
I will give you guys a lot applause. As of recent the viable support pool of champions is at the highest its ever been in league of legends and for that you have my sincere gratitude. However, no matter what good things I say about the support role the position by far sees the least amount play in league (especially in ranked play). At the end of the day no matter how many good qualities we bring to the table, we still are the ones nobody wants to go to senior prom with. So i'll end my ballad of sorrow with these questions and I look forward to hopefully receiving some form of response.

Why did the pink trinket not make a return to season 6? Is there any possibility of it making a return as a purchasable upgrade to yellow trinket or, (and this being my preference)replacing the risk averse vision placement of scrying orb?

Are you guys willing at this time to experiment this preseason with support itemization,(you've already mentioned locket changes) to the point where lesser seen support items (censar, zekes, athenes, ohmwercker)can become a competitive alternative purchase to the staple set of items we see in almost every game from your traditional support?

Are there any purposed methods from the dev team on increasing the support uptime on the map?

Is there any plans to make the support position a more attractive role thus bringing in more players?(this should help queue times as well)
