state of kassadin post 8.2

how exactly do u lane as a kassadin after the minion aggro changes. his laning was already the worst in the game. in most matchups he needs his q just to stay alive. there has to be something to add to him to compensate even if its just something minor. or you need to buff his mid game to account for the extra length of time for him to come online.
