Why does Talon have so much extra range on his 'w' now?

This ability is so easy to hit now it's stupid. Huge cone and huge range. It's almost impossible to be out of range of this thing in lane. I didn't think it was possible, but Riot made Talon even more faceroll and braindead with his rework.
