Consequences would be nice.
Lately I have noticed a pattern in riot's design, and I am a bit frustrated with it if I'm honest. Not a lot of champions riot has made recently seem to suffer many consequences for mistakes or doing something over the top stupid. For example
. What goes through your head when a
ults blindly through a wall to kill a squishy carry but fails due to either the carry having backup or possibly the carry just simply surviving and about to unleash hell on her. You think "Oh well shes just going to dash 1 - 3 times then flash why am I even wasting the effort trying to kill her?". I believe this pattern in champions is the dumbest thing I have ever seen and I see more and more of it as the game continues to age and expand. Don't get me wrong I am perfectly fine with assassins having the ability to kill carries and get out safely, but there's a difference between assassination and doing whatever you want with little to no consequence. How many times have you just walked away after a
uses every CD she has on you because you simply understand there isn't much you can do even if you ambush her or simply "Outplay" her. Now we have champions like
who like the prior do whatever they want with little to no consequence. Catch a
? Well now he ults, dashes, and if you are still on par with him he will throw a multitude of slows or hard cc depending on positioning and after all that if you are still on his tail he can always pop CD's like zhonas and GA to stall time longer. Other champions like
and
meet this "Zero Consequence" play style and regardless of if this is balanced or not I find it simply the most annoying thing in this game. I can understand the damage, I can understand having safety, but if a champion doesn't have consequences what do you expect a player to feel? It only ends in a deep bitter feeling of frustration.
I'm not saying get the nerf bats out, all I'm saying is that recreating this frustrating play style over and over again in a new spin is only going to end in a lot of annoyed people like myself ranting.
