[Serious] Akali kit rebalance idea the "Aatrox way" [big post tldr inside]
We all know what a nightmare Akali is for riot team to balance around pro play and SoloQ
I have an interesting idea that Riot masterminds will find promising and they might already have tested something similar (or not)
So without making this long, let's dive right in
PASSIVE: Assassin's Mark
INNATE: Akali's ability damage against enemy Champion icon champions creates a 500-unit ring around them for 4 seconds and grants her Movement speed icon 40 / 50 / 60 / 70% (based on level) bonus movement speed for 2 seconds while moving away from them.
When Akali leaves the ring, she regains the Movement speed icon bonus movement speed towards enemy champions for 2 seconds and gains Swinging Kama for 4 seconds.
SWINGING KAMA: Akali's next basic attack gains Range icon 125 bonus range, deals 39 − 180 (based on level) (+ 90% bonus AD) (+ 70% AP) ->NEW NERFED VALUES Ability power bonus magic damage and restores Energy 10 / 20 / 30 (based on level) energy. heals akali for x/x/x (based on level)
Q: FIVE POINT STRIKE
ACTIVE: Akali throws a flurry of kunais in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies hit. Enemies hit at maximum range are also Slow icon slowed by 50% 60% (40-60 based on ability rank) for 0.5 seconds.
MAGIC DAMAGE:
25 / 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 (+ 65% AD) (+ 50% AP) -> new buffed numbers (get dmg out of passive bring it to Q but the overall dmg have to be lowered)
At rank 5, deals 33% -> 40% bonus magic damage to minions and monsters.
ENERGY COSTS THE SAME
W: Twilight Shroud
ACTIVE: Akali restores energy and detonates a smoke bomb in the target direction, creating a circular shroud that expands over the next 5 seconds into a ring. The shroud does not permeate terrain.
Entering the shroud renders Akali invisible, gaining bonus movement speed, MAGIC PENETRATION, BONUS ENERGY REGEN and causing all sources of true sight (except for turret targeting) to grant Sweeper Drone icon obscured vision instead.
Akali's basic attacks and abilities will break the invisibility for 1 − 0.625 (based on minutes) -> (BASED ON RANK OF THE ABILITY) seconds. Twilight Shroud's duration is extended by 2 ->1 seconds if she breaks invisibility -> TAKES A TAKEDOWN (KILLS OR ASSISTS).
The Shuriken Flip marked section of Twilight Shroud's will linger for the mark's duration, even after the shroud ends.
BASE DURATION: 5 / 5.5 / 6 / 6.5 / 7 -> 6 SECONDS AT ALL RANKS
E: Shuriken Flip
COST: 30 ENERGY -> 20 ENERGY
R: Perfect Execution
After 2.5 seconds -> 1.5 SECONDS , Perfect Execution can be reactivated within the following 7.5 -> 6 seconds
TLDR
- PASSIVE: Less DMG, heals instead of restoring energy
- Q: less slow early more slow later, more dmg to minions and monsters, more dmg to champions (rebalance passive dmg and q dmg but result in a deficit)
- W: while Akali is rendered in the shroud she gets magic pen and bonus energy regen. Invisibility timer won't scale with game time but with the rank of the ability. shroud extends after a takedown. rebalanced duration higher early lower late
- E: less energy cost
- R: lower timer between R1 and R2, R2 expires faster
THOUGHTS
Akali's thematically should be the assassin that utilizes the smoke to hide in the plain side while silences her targets.
Based on that I would like to add some power to the smoke. Akali should have huge prowess while fights under her shroud.
Ideas that could work but I didn't add
- Enemies that are inside the shroud get nearsighted (graves w effect) or champions that are inside shroud do not have obscured vision on her (but champions outside her shroud have higher obscurity sight)
- Enemies that are inside the smoke have their magic resist and armor lowered (instead of magic penetration while Akali is inside the shroud)
- shroud is thicker expands faster in a bigger radius
- while inside shroud Akali gets spell vamp (instead of heal on passive)
