I'm also sick of all the Janna hate

people just love to ride the bandwagon and it's pathetic how unoriginal they are in their commentary. "haha braindead janna player just stand behind ADC pressing E haha wow much skill lol"

YES, janna has a LOW SKILL FLOOR. that's a no-brainer right there. and playing janna at her skill floor also requires no brain. sure, you can afk behind your adc pressing E every 7 seconds in lane. sure, you can randomly ult in teamfights and maybe get lucky that actually peels someone off your team. sure, you can throw out random Qs and hope the enemy team is dumb enough to walk into the knockup. but none of these things guarantee you a win nor make your chances of winning better. it's literally just up to luck on how your and the enemy team plays.

janna also has a HIGH SKILL CEILING. stopping every single zac, lee sin, akali, poppy, fiora, rakan, leona (you get the point) jump/dash requires skill. you have to know the timing for each and every jump in the game and you have to have a good reaction time. you can brainlessly shield your adc and hope they do something with it in lane, or you can walk up and poke the enemy support/adc with your w and autos, shielding yourself from any damage you might take, and rinse and repeat this until either or both of the enemy laners are too low to skirmish and have to either recall or miss out on a ton of farm/exp so they don't die. this way, you aren't "getting carried" in lane, but are doing the carrying, as your adc can safely farm because you zoned the enemy laners. it takes skill and accumulated game knowledge to know exactly when you need to janna ult. you can't freely press R and get its full benefits when the enemy team has some long range cc that can immediately cancel your ult. you might need to hold onto it to outheal some high damage spell like velkoz ult or to stop an enemy's jump. there's a ton of situational decisions you can make as janna and and none of them are brainless, as they do require the skill to think on the spot how you are going to handle a situation.

the people who spam "haha janna brainless champ jsut press e abuse ardent haha XD" are just trying to make themselves feel better. there are A TON of champions in the game with simple kits but i don't see any of them getting flame. there is at least one person a game who "gets carried" regardless of what champion or role they are playing (and EVERYONE has been this one person before). i'm sorry you are hardstuck in silver and want to find excuses for why that is, but it's not because people are "abusing ardent supports" while you aren't. people like to tell me all the time that i climbed to d1 because of janna but the reality is she's permabanned in every single dia game past d5, so i'm curious how that works? NO ONE consistently wins their games out of luck. if someone has a good winrate in ranked it's becuase they are contributing to their team's wins in a good # of their games. but if you want to sit there hating on people who enjoy playing the support role, go for it. it's not going to change your 2k games 50% wr hardstuck ass from being a literal dumpster.
