Championship Jewels

I have 211 Championship Jewels because I got some chests. (just a few, I swear... maybe)

But seriously, if I'm not looking to buy Team icons with RP just to boost up with these, why can't I just turn them into blue essence or something else? (Already got the gold 2016 icon.)

Also waiting for November to make them disappear is 'eh. I dunno, just feels like a waste to have them just sitting there in such a high number. And what's worse is opening up chests only knowing you'll get 3 more... that will also sit there.
