Stop asking for more bans and address the REAL issue

I honestly dont care how many down votes this gets because of the delusion people have thinking more bans will solve the problem.

I keep seeing people asking for more bans because there are too many "OP" champs and since there are only 6 ban slots you cant really ban someone you WANT to ban but instead ban someone you HAVE to ban and there are too many "OP" champs to ban and not enough ban space to do it.

The problem is NOT how many bans we have, the REAL issue is how often we have to keep banning the same champs all the time. When you get to the point where the same champs keep getting banned in just about every match you go into, then the issue is obviously NOT that we need more bans, the issue is that those champs NEED to be nerfed and balanced. There is a reason why those champs keep getting banned so it has nothing to do with how many bans we have.

People keep asking for bans when that WILL NOT solve the problem, what WILL solve the problem is asking for Riot to actually balance those constantly banned champs so that we can get back to playing the game and banning champs we WANT banned and not to have to ban one we NEED to ban.

So people, please stop asking for solutions to the symptoms and start asking for solutions to the PROBLEM.

The thing is, you nerf the top 6 bans, and the next 6 take their place.

The problem is that people in this community don't like to think outside the box (and riot tends to nerf alternate strategies) so they tend to use the ban system as a band aid for "things I haven't figured out how to counter yet"

I'd argue that the main reason champions are banned often isn't because they are overpowered as such, but rather that people hate playing against them for one reason or another.

Yes, power is a part of that, but usually it's bad design: lack of counterplay, being extremely frustrating to deal with, being too much of a hard-counter to many picks, etc.

I agree that the problematic champions should be addressed, but most of the worst offenders don't need random numerical nerfs - they need changes to their kits to make them more fun to play against.

Yes the whole having some champions be Pick/Ban is the real problem here.
