How am I supposed to get out of bronze

I've spent hours searching for guide upon guide of "How to get out of bronze" and they all consist of relatively the same information.

  • Die less
  • Play easy champions
  • Ward
  • Look at the map
  • Get good.

I've tried and practiced all these skills and I'm seeing minimal improvement. By no means am I an outstanding hidden challenger and by no means do I deserve anything over bronze right now. But I would like some real advice as to what I should be doing to get out of bronze. Note: I realize there are a couple of games where I feed but I try my best to minimize my deaths and help my team. I'm coming out with most damage or 2nd most damage almost every time.

TLDR: I need help

Get accurate in your ability to click. Click minions accurately. Click the enemy accurately. You need to be fluid in your movement and combat before you can do anything else.

Once you have fluidity, you can then whip ass. But you can't whip ass unless you understand what enemy champions do, and what yours is capable of. This you only learn by playing a lot, for months/years.

You cannot climb ELO unless you WIN lane more than you lose lane. The above is how you win vs an opponent.

But you can't win the game without getting the objectives.

The point of killing players is to get objectives. The point of the game is not to kill players, but get objectives. Killing enemy players is just the means to getting the objectives.

The common flow of gameplay right now is like this:

-Get bot turret.

-While the enemy is recuperating from losing bot, your BOT lane then goes and gets the mid or top turret.

-After that, they then get the 3rd outer turret. This entire time the enemy team will be scrambling because your team is being proactive.

-With the gold lead from getting those turrets, your team will win any fights near dragon and baron. Once you have VISION control over dragon or baron, you take the dragon or baron. But don't take Baron unless you're very ahead, otherwise the damage Baron does to your team will allow the enemy to fight you evenly.

So to recap.

  1. Get fluid in the use of your champions. Play 3 champions only, otherwise you can never be proficient. Don't be a jack of all trades.

  2. Kill the enemy players so that you can GET the turrets and dragons and barons. Killing the enemy gets you a gold lead and makes them think twice about fighting you again. Use this pressure to get objectives. The enemy needs to be in a situation where they don't want to fight you, so they back off the objectives, but if their hand is forced, you likely win anyway because you were ahead of them.

  3. Convince your team to group and push the 2nd tier turrets. If the enemy is disorganized, you basically won by this point, because they will be running around with their heads cut off and flaming each other while your team takes tower after tower. Because you have a lead, if they fight you, you'll probably win the fight and get the inhibitor. The only case where this doesn't work is if they have a good wave clear mage who can slow down your team's 5 man push.

  4. While all of the above is happening, take the enemy jungle camps and ward their jungle as much as possible. Box them in their base. By doing this they make no money, they don't have a chance to come back unless your team does something really stupid. By doing all the above you've basically won the game at the 14 minute mark, even though the nexus doesn't fall until 30 mins. The above is why the game feels very snowbally.

Well right now your winrate is perfectly fine for climbing. If you can just be consistent then you'll be able to climb, with that in mind.

Other than that, work on your farming. In some games you have like 100 CS in 20+ min, and that's half of where you want to be. You're not reaching power spikes efficiently.

Hm. Difficult. It´s a lot about decicsion-making in game. I´ve had 2 games today in wich I had somehow "strange" mates. One of them we nearly did win anyway (was a hard work) but the "strange" one killed us in the end again. The other one we´ve won. I claim this for myself; I rescued the team 2 times last seconds and hm... told others what they did wrong.

For bronze I would give following advice. Don´t trade unless it is worth (perhaps an objective). Don´t chase, especially don´t go in vs jungle without vision unless you know where the others are. Don´t be overconfident in lane, even if your opponent seems bad. Go back early if you are low HP. Really try not to overstay (in lane and later with pushing) and find the proper time to go back, look at respawn of the opponents.

I think that are some of my main problems with my mates "here" even it needed only some games to climb out of B1. S5 is the same. Today I´d Jhins and Vaynes, Caits - whatever as ADC...... I think to get locked for ADC in low elo there are special keyboards. No "b" on them. Splitpusher Yi´s pushing even team dies vs 5 at inhib. Darius´ chasing 1 vs 1..2..3...5 whatever, vision 0.... who cares. ADC and damage-sup are far away - let´s start fight! Oh... vs jungler is up and only 1 dead, no one knows where they are. Right time for baron call! :/

That above is the summary of my rankeds today. It is about individual decision making. I do a lot of these fails on my own [I swear every time - next time I don´t try to help the next one chasing...], so I don´t really blame others. Even I sometimes write them "please go b". Or "Yi !" [I was a bit upset... really...] so that I can prevent deaths/failures.

Just play your 64% winrate Vlad every game and you will climb.
