Why Yasuo is one of the trickiest subjects to talk about.

We all had that game... That single game where someone on the enemy team insta locked Yasuo in less than 0.5 seconds of champ select and we all got our asses bodied by that guy who AFTER! EVERY! SINGLE! KILL! He would show his Level 7 Mastery and proceed to go mid/bot lane while you ping to them to GTFO and fnish the match with 24/2. Them you get someone in your team who says Yasuo is a brain dead champ that is easy as fuck to use and proceed to go 2/15 in the end of the game BMing that his jungler/team didn't helped him and/or had no knock up for him to ult. No matter what, it it is God Yasuo or Yauseless, people seen to have entered this Yasuo hate train for reasons that i, as a old Yasuo main (Was pretty good at him in season 6, now i'm rusty as fuck and currently a Jhin main.), can understand but i still find very fucking irritating to keep hearing and giving my two cents on the matter. Let's study his kit and see what people get their jimmies rustled about a single champ. P.S.: I'm not gonna say anything about items on Yasuo, just his kit.

Passive(1): Double Crit Chance. Yeah, pretty "broken" passive, He gets double crit chance and can be at 100% Crit Rate with only two items. What is the trade? Yasuo's auto attacks deal 90% of a normal crit, and his Q deals 75%.

Why this passive is justifiable on Yasuo? Yasuo deals less damage than anyone else crits, and his starting AD, AD growth and AD at lvl 18 are middle of the road. (Just for a comparisson. Garen starts with a little more AD at level 1, have more growth AND lvl 18 AD than Yasuo.) The only REAL problem worth pointing that i see with this is that Yasuo will have a little more damage early game due to he still have some good damage because of crits.

Passive (2): A shield that will activate when Yasuo gets hit, it will block some damage based on level and it recharges while Yasuo moves. Pretty good and balanced passive. He can't control WHEN the shield will happen, the shield only scales with level and not with AD or AP, it lasts for a good amount of time to not make it unfair due to being triggered by getting hit.

Q: A short and thin as fuck skillshot that applies on hit effects with 100% AD, CD scales with attack speed instead of CDR, charging the thing let Yasuo throw a tornado so he can land ults without having to relly on other people and deals it's damage in a circular motion if comboed into his E.

The only thing i would say could be changed is the fact that it applies on hit effects, so Yasuo can slide at you, auto Q auto and get 6 stacks of fervor very easily early game and have some extra damage to bully you, aside from that, pretty standart skill

W: The infamous Wind Wall... Yasuo creates a wall that will block anything that is considered a ranged attack/skill that isn't a laser.

This skill is quite devastating, and it lasts a little to long than it is needed to be, but aside from that, is the one of two skills that Yasuo have at his arsenal do deal with ranged harass, while most Fighters or Assassins have only one way to dodge spells. Like i said, the only problem i have with this skill is that it lasts a little to long for it's own good, but all you need to do is reposition yourself and that wall is nothing to be worried.

E: A dash that scales off AP with extremelly low cooldown, but it leaves a mark on the target that makes it unable to be dashed again until the mark expires. Dashing will also increase the damage of the next dash by 25%, up to a max of 50% base damage.

Another target of people complains about Yasuo, saying that Yasuo have "infinite" dashes. Yasuo needs a target to dash, said target can't be dashed for some seconds and it's damage isn't that great since it scales off AP, something Yasuo will never build, and it is a situational dash that either helps Yasuo close the gap for a kill, or leave him to die because he will not be able to dash back unless he plans his kills very well (Admit, you all saw the Hero Mode Yasuo that dashes the entire minion wave to try to kill someone, and when they fail, they have no way to escape and either blow flash or die a horrible death). It is a skill that was meant to be used to outplay the opponent since Yasuo is quite a squishy champ.

R: Yasuo blinks to the nearest airborne champion(s), holding them in the air for an extra second, and deal physical damage that scales with AD and for 15 secs, Yasuo Crits ignores 50% of the target Bonus Armor.

The Coup de Grace of Yasuo kit. He not only keep you immobile in the air for an extra second, so people can keep laying damage on you while you can't do anything unless you have means to clean CC, Yasuo also gains 50% penetration that works only on the enemie's BONUS armor (That means armor from mastery, runes and items), so even tanks aren't safe when Yasuo dunk you back into the floor. Good skill... Why i say that? One: Yasuo will be near the person who is knocked up, so if his team don't come to protect him, he will be in the front of the team fight, so that means you can focus him and kill him, or force him to waste skills or spells to actually survive. 2) It's his way to deal with excessive tanky comps without having to buy proper armor pen, so he don't get buttfucked by someone who rushes armor. 3) It is much more fair than being able to deal true damage with an empowered auto that will rip out your soul or % max health true damage with every third auto/mark/skill on a tank champion. (Am i letting out my anger on the likes of Fiora or Galio for having stupid passive/skill?)

Also, just for fun, Yasuo needs to hit his ultimate, which to do that he either needs someone with a knock up or landing it himself, needing to have 100% crit chance (Which he will need to have,at minimum, 3400 gold (Phantom Dancer(2600g) + Cloack of Agility(800g)), while Darius and Garen will have 49% armor pen (Having Black Cleaver, that costs 3000 gold Darius with his E maxed and Garen if he lands 4 hits of his spin.) Note that Darius and Garen will have normal armor pen, which means that they are going to murder squishies, and they are proper Tanks, unlike Yasuo that will have to go bruiser at least to survive most of his fights.

In conclusion, i wanted to point out why Yasuo kit is good the way it is. Some small changes could be done like i mentioned in his Q and W, but aside from that, Yasuo will always be a good champ in any meta, as long the player using him is good and have good decision making to properly use him. Yasuo have weaknesses like all champs, he can be shutdown very easily if he is caught in a bad position or forcing him to waste his defensive options if he falls for the pressure. His early game is fine, he can struggle mid game depending of the match up and his late game need to be ascessed very carefully so he can deals as much damage to the tanks while having the ability to easily outplay if the player is skilled enough.

Now, if you still think Yasuo is a unglodly broken mess of a champ, and you are around Bronze or Silver, i gently ask you to actually get fucking good at the game and stop whinning like a fucking bitch, or pick Darius... Because Yasuo is fucking demolished by Darius. You do you, bro.

Sincerely. A Silver V/Bronze I guy who don't bitch about Yasuo.

Quite frankly, I just don't want Yasuo on my team.

If the enemy wants him, they are free to have him.

I don't mind much, Yasuo for me is kind of a Fighter/Assassin hybrid. He have the burst to kill squishies, and he have the sustained damage to actually duel or 1v2 in the best cases. What bugs me is the fucking hate wave on him. People don't see to understand that Yasuo have counter play like any other champ, and tends to tunnel vision on only his strenghts, never seeing his weaknesses.

He's a big deal in low elo. Scary stuff. However, those of us who've caught on realize that he's just a worse riven.

That was alot, but I think its simpler than all of that. Yasuos just a champ thats either gonna carry the game or throw it, because of how aggressive his kit is. If your yas does bad, cant really carry him since he's gonna die really fast and pointlessly, but if the yas does and is good, he can carry really hard.
