Zekes Harbinger (Comeback Mechanic?)
Wanted to talk about something I don't think anyone has really mentioned and its got to do with the role of
.
With the marksman rework, its now easily possible to get to 100% crit. In case u didn't know the build is IE. Zeal Item (phantom dancer for instance). Second zeal item (rapid fire cannon for instance). ER. Boots. Situational item (yomuus? merc scimitar? Probably Last Whisper in this meta). That gives 100% crit and its probably the way u want to go if the game is going well for you. The point is, your support should not build zeke's for the adc if it looks like this is going to be the build path. Eventually, it will do nothing for the adc.
But I guess I can see a scenario when you go a different build path and do not buy any crit at first. U might go deaths dance (bc u were getting shit on in lane by a roaming assassin and built vamp scepter) into Bork (your team needs some dmg for the bruiser and you need self peel combined with attack speed) or vice versa. If this is the case, your next smartest item to buy is phantom dancer because 1) the fed assassin is getting more fed and you need dmg reduction and the huge ms boost when he gets behind you and 2) I suspect it might be a good rule to double down on AS items in every game. They help you kite like HP helps a bruiser survive. Now, you are almost in a position for a comeback to where you would have been if you hadn't been behind, but IE alone will not get you there. U will only have 50% crit chance and you need much more at this point in the game. Trust me. That's when your support builds Zekes while you build IE. Zeke's is now a comeback mechanic for adc's according to this theory.
All in all I think this was a really good rework.
