I used to play Aurelion Sol way back when back in 2017 and 2018 and I haven't played him since and I've moved on to more edgy solo carry champions. I really like his kit despite not playing him a lot, and today I decided to play an ASol game because I realized I have Ashen Lord for him. Didn't realize his kit got reworked, and I really hate it. The W feels really terrible to use because when it's down you just feel useless because you don't have long range damage. I don't know if it's just me, but I really think Riot should consider reverting it.

They pushed him away from an "outplay" directly sort of playstyle.

They want you to focus heavily on your macrogame when playing him and win elsewhere as more of like a facilitator pick, hence why in a 1v1 he's actually pretty garbage atm.
