New Lee Sin Q Concept
Hey y'all! I was thinking earlier and got this idea for Lee. I'm gonna be honest, Lee Sin is my most hated champion, but I stand firmly with the idea that no champion deserves to be gutted. So I got this idea, as I said, and I decided to sorta fine tune it. Lee Sin's all about those flashy plays, but at the expense of being annoying as hell to even see in-game. I'd actually agree with a mini-rework for Lee Sin (such as the ones for
,
, and
). Why would I want that? I want to see Lee Sin as a less annoying champion to fight, while having him still be pretty flashy. There are other problems with him such as being a pretty good generalist and his high damage (and the fact that Riot refuses to touch him), but I wanted to change just one part of his kit for now. And so, here it is.
[New]** Q - Sonic Wave/Resonating Strike** First Cast: Lee Sin sends out a sonic wave in the form of a cone. The cone is about the size as Cho'Gath's W (Feral Scream), but Lee Sin's cone deals (10/40/70/100/130 + 90% bonus AD) physical damage. The cone will also mark all units hit for 3 seconds and grants him true sight. Second Cast: Lee Sin dashes in the direction of the marked target he has his cursor on. While Lee Sin chooses a target to kick at, he doesn't get to automatically track their movements. Instead, he dashes in a general direction around them. The skill travels about as fast as Camille's E dive. It deals (50/80/110/140/170 + 90% bonus AD) physical damage. Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds Cost: 50 energy
So, why did I make this change? Well, I wanted to keep some key aspects of Lee Sin's kit, being his ward hopping and Q-R-Q combo. As BS as those qualities may be, they're part of Lee's annoying as hell (in my opinion) kit. This ability focuses more on giving Lee Sin better target selection during a fight, but in turn causes him to have to get closer through ward hopping to land the first cast. Even then, the second cast can be dodged or blocked, since it isn't an auto-aim anymore. I tried giving Lee some more counterplay, while giving him options. May have been too generous, but considering how much I hate Lee Sin I think I did my best. I did think about a lot of things for this too, such as having his first cast bounce off walls to mimic echolocation, or cause it to shoot the Q back in Lee's general direction after landing it, so he would have to catch it to be able to dash. I figured the least complicated and best version was what I put here.
Remember, this isn't supposed to fix everything about Lee Sin's kit. He's still gonna be mobile, hard to kill, and nuke squishies. Well, at least the latter is what he's meant to do. If implemented, this could send Lee Sin on the road to recovery, making him less annoying to fight, more interactive for his opponents, and less of the guy who makes Riot his bitch.
