Why does the new trinket STILL disable traps for 10 seconds straight? (Read)

I know this thread will probably get downvoted (AGAIN) by everybody who hates Teemo/Shaco, but god damn, as an AP Shaco main, i'm tired of laning against someone, and then he suddently gets his new free trinket so he can safely engage me any time he wants.

I heavily rely on my boxes late game (kiting the enemy team and setting up traps), and at this point, i wouldn't even mind if the new trinket only disabled them for 1-2 seconds on contact with the trinket (the most logical solution) but nearly every game i play with Shaco, people get 1 or 2 of those trinkets along with pink wards, it makes AP Shaco completly unviable and unfun to play.
