Competitive Assassins

Are Assassins in a bad place? I feel like I never see any professionals players pick them even when they stream just solo q. They obviously stomp low elo games but I feel like anyone can do that. Edit: and By assassins i mean the Zeds, Talons not the Cho gaths and J4 memes going around.
