What do you think about the current rank situation this season?

Hello everyone.

I've been playing League since the game first came out. So you can some what say I have some experience with the ranking system. My question goes out to the generel, but especially Riot, since I really want to know what how the feel about the current ranking situation.

First off. I've played Diamond 5 as my highest, so I'm not the best at all, I do have my flaws, I won't really deny that. I've been playing much Flex Ranked que lately, just to try to get to Platinum on it before I start on Solo que (I've had a long break, just came back around 2-3 months ago, so I'm just getting into the different champions and metas). I can't say if the people I'm playing with have been trolling just because it's 'flex' ranked, and not Solo Q. Yet I've experienced so many players (Around diamond/platinum) Who basicly had no idea on what to do, when to push, when to gank and who fed extremely. A game I had just before I played with an Orianna who ended up 1-13. She basicly pushed out toplane all the way to the open inhib and got 5 man ganked, and she repeated mistakes like this. She was in Platinum 4.

Short version: My question is following, how would you guys say the 'lower' elo (Gold-Diamond) is to play in, and is the players even skilled enough? What is happening? Elo boosts? Bought accounts? I don't really get it. And what is Riots solution, cause I'm expericing it in both solo q and flex.
