Can we please NOT buff Right-Clicking?

With Riot's new Attack-Move-On-Cursor, it's now MUCH easier to orb step.

What this change has done is dramatically reduce the difficulty on the most mechanically challenging aspect of Auto-attack carries.

**For those of you who aren't aware yet, previously there were 2 methods for orb-stepping: **

  1. Move + A-Move-Ground, or
  2. Move + Attack Specific Target.

The first method is incredibly easy and doesn't require much precision : you simply move then A-Click on the ground and you will auto-attack the closest target. The downside to this method is obviously you can't focus-fire by A-Clicking the ground if there are multiple targets in the because you'll just end up hitting minions / other champions. The second method requires much higher precision and mechanical skill as you need to actually click on what you want to attack every time you orb step. The ability to perform the second method is what separates the good ADCs from the God ADCs - and it's a mechanic even pro ADCs work hard to perfect.

What Riot's new A-Move-On-Cursor does is severely reduce the precision requirement for when players use the 2nd orb-stepping method. Instead of having to accurately click on the focused target, you can now A-click in the general area of your target and you'll autoattack the target that's closest to your CURSOR instead of your Champion. In other words, its the MOBA equivalent of Aim Assist in FPS games

The prevalent reasoning for this new system is that AA-assist is simply an improved 'tool' to help players play the game and all it does is remove pointless artificial difficulty, but I say that's an absolute load of crap. Aim-bot is a 'tool' to remove artificial difficulty too.

As much as Riot may want League to be seen as a 'Strategy + Teamwork' game, League has been and should continue to be heavily based on player mechanical skill. Decision making and strategy is the icing on the cake in LoL - a Bronze player can easily have the same 'strategy' skills as a Diamond player after spending like 5 minutes reading a guide; the biggest skill gap between players is still mechanics.

I gotta agree with you, OP.

But it is pointless artificial difficulty

agree that there is no need to make orbwalkin easier, it's already absurd that the most damage in this game comes form ranged point n click, no need for aim bots on that.

However, I disagree on the skill gap part. The biggest skillgap between teams is strategie/taktics by far, and for individual players it'S decisionmakeing, mechanics, while they do have impact, aren't as important as the other skills, providied you reached a certain baseline. I rarly notice bif differences between gold/plat and dia players i face/play with, but there is a lot difference in strategic understanding of the game and decision makeing. Reading a guid for 5 min doesn't help a fuck if you blindly follow it without understanding. League(and other mobas) are a rather caotic system, which requires a higher level of adaptation to succed. From just blindly following a guid, you lack exactly that and fail as soon as the situation requires smart adaptation(which happens very often)

You're rallying to make orbwalking harder?

Are you also a tobacco lobbyist?

There are MASSIVE strategy differences between low and high tier players. A Plat player is much more likely to know what fights they can win, for example.

Im confused. You guys want the game to be harder to play? Why?

I mean, I guess being able to precisely click on an enemy champion might make you feel skillful, but its not really. This is like the Dragon Timer addition. People complained about the addition of respawn monster timers because it made it too easy. Why? Does it make you feel skillful to be able to know the exact time Dragon will be up? Same applies here. Riot is taking a step towards making the game easier to learn and apparently they can't do that without making people think anyone who uses it is noob. The point of this game is to know when, how, and where to use a spell lr basic attack, not precision mouse clicking, especially for basic attacks.

No, Jinx is too hard to play and NEEDS these changes!
