Season 9 Is the worst season for ranked

The ranked experience for this season was over after the first game. I started off at around +30lp and ended my placements getting +18. Now despite having a 75% wr this season I'm only getting +15lp per game and playing with people 3 division blow from where I should be. I tried talking to riot support and the answer they gave me is "just play more games and your mmr will balance out." The problem is that the statement is not true. If I grind my way up from plat 3 to plat 2 while only getting +15lp per game the actual mmr might go up but I'll be a higher rank than before so I'll still be playing against people well below my actual skill level. I now feel stuck in an elo hell despite having a 75% wr.
