Ranked Transfers

Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd like to bring up a topic that I feel affects a fair amount of players in diamond+ if not even more ranks. This is in no way or form a way to flame players that transferred from a different region, only a way to create healthier League of Legends ranked gameplay. It is only common sense, that different region's player base sizes have an effect on the skill level of the average player. In a smaller server, such as LAN, they will not have as much talent to play against and as active of a player base to help them improve compared to a server like (haha yes) NA. Compared to North America, they have a much less developed ranked community, so it does not make sense to have someone keep their previous region's MMR after they transfer to the new server. For example, there have been multiple cases where High elo LAN players transfer and get placed into d2-d1 ranked games NA, and maintain the MMR despite losing countless games with a sub 50% win rate. Their MMR doesn't drop due to their inflation. This is neither enjoyable for the rest of the players in their games, nor for the transfer themselves for being in an environment that they happened to be dropped into.

As a solution, I suggest that their rank gets nearly a complete reset, so they can enjoy their climb in a new server. From this image, it shows a personal experience from a Challenger LAN player, and his thoughts on the NA ladder. I think it would be much appreciated by many players to enable a more fair playing field.
