A Problem with the Remake Function

LeaverBuster FAQ

As unfortunate as it sounds, I have been screwed over by the /remake system and the LeaverBuster system. About 10 seconds into my game, the game crashes and I get bugsplatted. By the time I load again, the team has already voted to remake the game, and I get unfairly punished for it. While I do understand that such a situation does not happen very often, it is imperative to know that even in those small and unlikely circumstances, we don't ignore that aspect altogether for the players who get unfairly punished.

Now, while I might seem like a whiney bitch who just got 'punished probably because he left other games because his mom walked in and caught him playing games instead of studying', keep in mind two things: One, this has happened to me twice in a ranked game, and that's it. For the last 40 or so games, I have not left while in the match itself (nor have I left as soon as the pick/ban session ends), and because I got ruthlessly double-penetrated by Bugsplat and Remake twice, I got flagged for leaving the game and am now serving a quite heavy punishment. Two, I am not necessarily asking that Riot compensate for my punishment or remove it (although that would be nice). I am simply asking that Riot probably needs to look into their system and make sure that "the system is designed to keep these situations (crashes, involuntary disconnections, etc.) in mind", because as of now, it seems like Riot is extremely vague as in what scenarios do they count as exceptions and how they do so.

In the remake function, my only wish is that the system is designed so that more time is required for a team to wait before voting for remake (considering how both situations ended in me reloading within 3 minutes), since you never know when someone might rejoin (3 minutes for a jungler to come back is not really that much of a big deal IMO).

Until then, peace out.

P.S. I left the original link to the Leaverbuster article that Riot wrote so I could cite anything they wrote on that article.
