You can also run Deadman's Plate on Mordekaiser in place of Spirit Visage if you're against an all AD team. The bonus movement speed is nice.

what i like about garen now, he has a fuckton of item options. building straight health or damage was a lot more difficult pre rework, since you had to build at least 2 hp/resistance items or youd waste the w passive.

Mordekaiser item 3117 better than item 3047 item 3146 I don't think it is as important on Morde its too expensive and you are already buying item 3078 .

If you don't go for another HP +Armor/MR item I would aim for more utility item 3157 or item 3285 item 3748 the spell vamp isn't too great as there is talk that his Q reduces spell vamp to 33%. In general Speed Kills with Morde. Get in and get out.

Regardlessitem 3117 is numero uno!! Rush item 3053 rush item 3117 profit.

Edit: item 3285 might be too expensive and inefficient ~87% gold efficient especially with a lower AP build. item 3023 Being relatively the same stats +10% CDR at 2400g is ~100% gold efficient and might be a better option if you got that route.

Regardless many Morde mains tend to agree item 3146 isn't really that effective, specifically in combination with item 3078 . That's 7100 g for spell vamp and life steal that doesn't really help the slow Morde.
