With your final breath- a short story to make a point.
The way was clear. After hard, long-fought battle against that Grandmaster at Arms, Lucian and his allies (including Thresh) were beaten down, but not yet broken. They had vanquished the enemy, and it was only a matter of time before they would return. Raising his pistols, keeping her as a locked memory that gave him drive and purpose. To keep moving forward. One shot after another, the monoliths crumbled, their arcane energy dying like the light on a setting sun.
Then, he felt a chill in the air. Thresh had seemed to notice it, too.
"That foolish priest came to stop us."
"Then I'll rend him if he gets in our way."
A spectral blue light filled the area, and a figure floated in after, gracefully yet like a ghost. He looked the same as any other day, as he wauted in front of the tower, as if defending it.
"What brings you to my domain?"
"Move aside, or I'll use you as target practice."
"My, this is a treat. I'm looking forward to hearing your cries for her. And... Thresh? What a spectacle."
"My collection consist of better singers than yours."
"Naught but fearful screams. You enslave them, while I set them free. Your chorus must have variation."
"Enough prattle-"
"Took the words straight out of my mouth."
With that phrase having been uttered, Karthus raised his hand, and the area filled with thousands of screams, tormenting all nearby. It was too much to bear. Fleeing, Lucian and his teammates found themselves nearly dead, but still breathing. They couldn't proceed. But then, the same blue spectral light seemed to have followed them. Lucian looked around, but he saw nobody but the five of them. Then he realized everybody had a pillar of spectral light, slowly telling of the doom it would bring to each of them. Then, he heard a voice echo from all sides...
"Listen and rejoice in death!"
Please give Karthus a global ult quote, Riot. It took me a while to type this on my phone.
