Also I'm not here to say that she wasn't strong, just perhaps not do it in a way that repeats history (not nerfing a item or interaction that makes that champion a problem and instead just nerfing that champion)
The item that has been nerfed vs a champion who's had an absurd win rate for multiple patches now and is insanely easy to play
Nah, Sona needs the big nerfs
Nerfing a item to fix a single champion is an extraordinarily shit idea.
Its quite simple. If an item is causing the majority of it's users to over perform, THAT'S when you nerf the item. Not because a single champ does extremely well with it
AP Sona is still very strong even outside of the support items interaction. The nerf is deserved and, frankly, isn't even that bad. The heal and the size and frequency of her AoE shield is completely untouched, which is probably her greatest strength.
I absolutely hate that every time she gets deservedly nerfed Sona mains come out in droves to bitch, it's embarrassing
