Why do people choose to smurf when it ruins the game for the players who belong in that elo when you have diamond and up smurfs stomping them over and over. Kinda ruins the climb or desire to climb when you got people who have plateaued in their elo so they "Smurf" in low elo to feel good about themselves.
Ranks dont matter anymore.
Smurfing ruins 'high' elo games too because they are usually throwaway accs that they are using cuz their main is either banned or they dont wanna wait the 5-10 mins for a game.
Since the game is free, theres not much rito can do about smurfs, comes with the territory....but its still stupid and annoying.
They aren't doing it to feel good, they are doing it because someone who is bad at the game and thinks that getting higher rank will fix their smol pepe paid them for a boost to a higher rank.
Smurfing actually becomes much bigger a problem as u move up. In dia ur much more likely to deal with a gm+ smurf than a silver is to get a dia in their game. But yall always the ones bitching about them. Really its usually a gold 4 smurfing in silv 2, and u just assume he's good because he snowballed.
