Removing the ability to see your teammates ward count?

I'm on a league of legends team with teammates who aren't accustomed to warding or knowing where to ward. One of my main jobs besides doing some shot calling, was getting everyone to ward where I say or at least knowing if they have wards up so I can use it for vision control. At first I heard that it was removed because of flaming? But if riot actually cared about flaming issues, they wouldn't have made the ability to ping your teammates ultimates, emotes, and spammable masteries. The second theory I heard was that it was for the addition of vision scores? What am i going to do with vision score in game. Why do I care? I'd rather see if my teammates have wards up or not. Either way removing the ability to see how many wards your teammates have was uncalled for and completely unnecessary and I'd say harmful to game play, even in solo/duo. So I want to know the reason and if riot will implement a different way to see your teammates wards? Cause I think it's really dumb to stay this way. Thanks
