New Player looking to get competitive

I am new to LoL coming over from HoTS because honestly game has become really frustrating due to the matching system and trolls who haven’t played a solid game in two years never being dealt with, so here I am. Was wondering if there were any clans groups or teachers who could help me out and stop my bad habits before I know they exist to better my potential initial mmr, as in HoTS I didn’t even know about mmr until my son had dropped me to 700 and it’s been uphill since, would rather practice learn correct techniques and strats in order to actually compete on a real team at some point as I love competition. My ign is LolDead which is a triple entendres and a play on the sound out not a game statement. I will be on a lot in the coming week to see if I can figure it out and how much I like it, hope to make some friends and learn some mechanics. Off to sleep today but catch me in the am
