There needs to be a grievous wound mechanic but for shields
Shields always functioned as a sort of true damage for healing, damage mitigation that can't be hindered. It's adds flavor to the game when there's just the right amount but Riot you've gone past this limit 2 seasons ago. Everybody needs a shield, everybody needs a way to shield their team, everything is shields shields more shields before long the creeps will give you a little shield if you kill three of them in a row. Just stop, this is why you feel the need to introduce a constantly increasing amount of damage to the game, without all the %hp bullcrap or true damage you'd never be able to get through all of the new ways people can just shield your damage.
Turning banshees into an AP item is a gimmick. You really want to put your minds together and rework something that can positively impact the game? Rework the way you handle shields, true damage, %hp damage and %damage reduction.
