Anivia's currently 2nd in win rate (out of 47 mid laners) (6.21 patch) while being very underpicked

For starters I'm an Anivia main. At first and she is pretty hard to play. I've been finding success as of lately, and I'm curious to why she is such a good pick right now. Is she due for nerfs?

I got this information via http://na.op.gg/champion/anivia/statistics/mid

Edit please just don't say things like "nerf her please she is broken" and give me reasons why she is broken

Because she's broken, and only continues to become more so as they introduce things like Thunderlord's and all that, refuse to nerf her damage, and nerf the champs that can fight her.

She needs nerfs, but she'll never get them.

the instant she gets 6, she can poke hella hard with just r-e, which is also pretty high range and very easy to land her passive also makes immune to ignite, or any other DOT effect

Her combo is hard to land. Most mids out range her and out damage her. unless you get your q, e, aa combo in. If she is behind she's really weak. She just got nerfed. Syndra does way more damage, so does malzahar and Cass. There damage is easier to land with less danger to the player. I don't even think she is very strong. But not many people play her so don't know how to play against her.

She won't be nerfed, because she is not popular... She is slow and kind of boring to play, unlike the champions that are picked often - high mobility, spammy abilities (even if they are underpowered).

She most likely will not get nerfed if her play rate and win rate stay the same. If her play rate rises and her win rate stays the same then she could get nerfed. This happened to her before a few patches ago along with Lux a few months ago, they were both reaching 55% win rate with a pick rate of over 10%.

The reason I think Anivia is a good pick right now is because of her wave clear along with the fact that Anivia has a high learning curve so those who have mastered her dominate games a lot more due to the potential of her wall. Her passive is also great at all stages of the game and can really turn around fights if people jump on her assuming she doesn't have it up.

To go along with her E damage, Thunderlords adds a lot of damage during trades making her able to do a respectable amount of damage with only a tear, this makes the opportunity of fighting her while she has a tear and no "combat stats" completely disappear.

Overall I don't think she will get nerfed, I'm pretty sure Riot nerfed her 3 or 4 patches ago. There were some experimental changes on the PBE a few months ago encouraging players to hit a Q or fully charged/grown R, but as far as I am aware they were scrapped.
