Olaf on the weak side

I started playing Olaf recently because I like Fighters who can dish out some damage while being decently tanky. However, with Olaf I noticed he has difficulty sticking to his target and the enemy can avoid a lot of his damage simply by walking away, even with his ulti which gives him only a 1 sec speed buff. When I compare him with Tryndamere (my main) he has less damage and less survivability, only thing he's better in is to get into the back line and destroy their carry, which is his number one priority in team fights. I think a small buff to either his tankiness or his damage would be appropriate. Perhaps let his Q deal more damage in late game, since that's when he falls off the most.
