Alright, with the announcement of these new ranked badges for solo/dynamic/team play I'm seeing a lot of posts from people who aren't happy and still want solo queue. Well, sorry but you're not going to get it. Do you even understand why making a separate solo queue now would be a terrible idea? Dynamic queue was designed for friends to be able to play ranked together, and that's obviously the direction riot wants to the game to go. With this in mind, just think about what solo queue would do to dynamic queue. If you implement a strictly solo queue system as an alternative to dynamic queue then EVERY SINGLE solo player would use it when playing alone. Think about it, why would anyone play in dynamic queue if they're playing solo when a solo queue option exists?

Knowing that this is the situation, creating a solo queue alternative would completely destroy dynamic queue. Think about this, if a 4 person group queues up in dynamic queue they have to be matched with a solo player. However, if there's a solo queue matchmaking system, who the fuck is that 4 person group going to get queued up with? There will be ZERO solo players in dynamic queue for that group to get matched with, which means their queue time will be incredibly high. It will probably take half an hour before that group finds some random solo player who accidentally queued up for dynamic queue. By creating a solo queue option and removing almost all solo players from the dynamic queue matchmaking system, you will increase the queue times for every group in dynamic queue. Groups of 3 won't be able to get matched with 2 solo players, two duos won't be able to get matched with a single solo player, and as I said already groups of 4 won't be able to get matched with a solo player either. This effectively reduces dynamic queue to a ranked 5s mode where only 5 man groups will ever get matched against other 5 man groups with any reasonable speed.

Bottom line, riot wants players to be able to queue with any number of friends when playing ranked and this is a reasonable direction to take the game in my opinion. If you don't like it, get some friends or just don't play.

I truly hope it dies, and if bringing back SoloQ is the way to enhance competitive integrity, this is a win-win-win situation!

Listen, mate, perhaps Riot is trying to add more friend-group focused queueing, however this is simply just BAD for every solo player because their rank means less, they have less fun, and are more likely to get picked on (odd man out) while in a game or champ select.

You know where people should go to play with friends? normals. they should go to normals.

you know where people should go to prove their OWN skill? ranked. that's what ranked is for, right? Apprently Riot doesn't agree.

Simply put, yes, solo queue would make dynamic queue break and be impossible to play; however why is that a bad thing when dynamic queue has already destroyed solo queue and made everyone who plays alone unhappy? Are we lesser people because we don't like to play with friends in ranked and would prefer to show our own ability?

besides that "get some friends or don't play"? seriously? That's the direction you're taking then? Hell man, lots of solo players are already leaving, while others resign themselves to playing at a disadvantage.

On a secondary note, if Riot makes every single solo player unhappy in playing this game, and they (mostly) all quit, what happens to dynamic queue then? Oh, right, it breaks. Again. Solo players are required, so the "get some friends" line doesn't even work. Besides that, there's no incentive to solo, maybe if there was, people wouldn't complain so much because it would FEEL fair, even if it was still slightly offset one way or another. (changed LP for solo players so you get a bit more credit for your work alone, or such)

The only thing i can think of is that too many people were complaining about ranked 5s. The only way to play with 5 people was to either play arams, norms, and what ever mode was out every 3-4 months.

I personally do kinda miss the old ways. Now if i q into DQ alone, sometimes i end up with 2 different duos, or even 4 man premade. It sucks. I hope someday they fix it, but it's doubtful.

Also, i am pretty sure tons of people were complaining when they played ranked 5s back in the day. The system was flawed and messed up. they would match up bronze/silver players vs plat/diamond... so I do kinda see where they went with the whole Dq. You can only q with people close to your rank.. so if you are bronze you can play with silver friends and no matter what you will be matched against people of your elo... which i've noticed sometimes doesn't seem to do so, but i think that is because they implemented the whole thing if they can't find a full premade you would face solo or small premades but at a higher skill level of some sorts.

All in all there are tons of flaws, I REALLY MISS RANKED 5S. I could careless if i was facing a higher elo then me or a lower... it was fun... it was interesting.

The only thing I actually enjoy about the DQ is how they put Team Builder into it... yes... i know Scarra said it himself... now that you can pick your role it doesn't take as much skill to climb because you can do it with 4 other friends.... because before you could end up with any role.. understandable.

The biggest problem is " change ". Everyone who has been playing for a long time is used to the old way... I remember when the new jungle camps came out EVERYONE was complaining how jungling was super hard or different blah blah. When you get used to something for so long and big changes happen it ends up cutting into you.

League is a team based objective oriented game.....you want solo....find a different game it is about teamwork....period.

It is okay to be ignorant, ignorance is bliss. We don't want a separate Q, we want Solo Q as the only Q.

No, it wouldn't. It'd only get rid off 4-man premades, which were always extremely rage inducing.

Zero communication, flame focused at the solo guy and lack of any teamplay with said solo.

This is how I'd describe my last 10 games on a team with 4-man premade as solo.

What, you have only 3 friends? SUCKS TO BE YOU! Find a fourth friend and play 5-man premade, ha! Aw, can't find one?

Imagine how I, as a solo player, feel when all, but one of my friends quit the game, while that only remaining friend is Silver, while I'm Platinum.

If you don't like it, get some friends or just don't play.

Haven't you just said Dynamic Queue can't function without solo players? Ironic.
