Champion Select VS Dynamic Queue

I've been reading through the threads and I see MANY MANY MANY players saying they like Dynamic Queue because they always get the role they want and using it as an argument against Solo Queue.

_"This upcoming season we're replacing the solo/duo queue with a dynamic group queue, where you'll be able to climb the ladder with any number of teammates, going from single participation all the way to a full team comp. There's no longer a penalty for players ranking together, so the benefits of grouping up will always prevail. You'll still need to be of similar rank to your queue-buddies, and the system is designed so that groups will almost always play against similarly grouped opponents (so if you're in a premade five, there's a 95% chance you'll run into another premade five), but now you'll be able to compete the way you want to. " _- Riot about Dynamic Queue in the 2016 Season Update

See how Riot say nothing about being able to pick roles?

That is because the new Champion Select ISN'T part of Dynamic Queue. People seem to not get that wrapped around their heads.

Being able to pick the roles you want is part of the Champion Select system and has NOTHING to do with Dynamic Queue. DQ is for players wanting to queue up in RANKED games as a 2-5 man premade. In normals, you have the option to the SAME Champion Select system, except its not Ranked, aka not Dynamic Queue.

TL;DR:

Dynamic Queue: Get to play Ranked with 2-5man premade.

New Champion Select: Get to pick your roles before queuing.

New Champion Select ≠ Dynamic Queue.

Stop using the "I get to pick the role I want" excuse as an argument against Solo Q because the same system CAN be applied to Solo Q.
