Champion Skill Rating is Stupid

I have observed this phenomenon frequently as a support main where you spend a lot of time roaming around the map making plays for your team, saving lives and getting picks, vision, etc. This often means that your gold and experience are somewhat lower than if you had just stayed in lane the whole time. This plus the tendency of supports to die for their ADC's survival when necessary mean that some of the best support play often results in score lines that are less that exceptional. I experience this frequently as a Braum main who regularly dies in the front of a team fight so that my back line can live without fear. I often feel like I am getting punished for good macro plays that win me games. I get that I don't play in the same style as most supports at me ELO (abount Silver IV), but that doesn't mean that I should get punished for making the team play and sacrificing my own gold and exp for the good of the team.

I just got put on tilt after a fantastic game of Anivia ARAM by a skill rating of A+ when I finished the game 15/4/20. I would rather not have skill rating and champion mastery than have this robot stats based algorithm throw one of my best games in a long time back at me with an A+ just because my minions killed was a little low. The whole system promotes greedy play, and that is not healthy to a team based game like league.

I find it very easy to get into S range with supports just getting large numbers of assists O.o

I don't even pay attention to the champ rating anymore. I once had a game where I was going like 5/2/30 as Lulu, I saved my team via E and R at least 30 times that game and allowed people to play really dangerously cause I could always come in and W, E, R, or some combo to save them. I also had heal and saved them 5+ times alone with that. I get score like A in that game. Next game I was playing Blitz and had a lot more kills, but not many assists and got S+ somehow.. doesn't make any sense.

There are some games like the Lulu one I mentioned where someone who wasn't even really helpful on our team will get really good score.. like I think it was a Riven who was only getting kills alone (no one got assists or kills from her) and she would dive alone with no team around. She had decent cs and kills but no assists and wasn't working with the team at all, and she got a really good rating that game. Kind of annoyed after games like that so I don't even really pay attention to the rating.
