Just look at his kit, no peel for adc, no heals, no shields, his passive doesn't allow him to get more HP, so he's weaker than a Tank support, i can day pyke can be mid, and if riot Buff his att speed, or some base dmg, he could jungle, but come on, he IS NOT a support, so please, SUPORT MAINS WHO ARE BORED OF SHIELD AND PEEL SUPPORTS, stop It, dont wanna get flamed if I go pyke jgl, because he is an assasin, with a perfect kit of ganks.

But consider this: As non-traditional as it is, Pykes kit fits the all-in support niche.

Basic support triangle is all-in > poke > tanky/anti-engage > all-in. Pyke fits this perfectly.

Being an assassin, tanks and anti-engage naturally counter him, that tidbit is a no-brainer.

His passive combined with relic shield should mitigate most of the damage of a poke lane, letting him exist vs it. Poke lanes are also very squishy, which makes his all-in a very real threat.

He's also probably going to be roam-happy. I imagine the enemy mid will see him as essentially a second jungler.

That said, Pyke cannot solo lane: His waveclear is atrocious (meaning he'll be under tower all game in midlane, if he can even survive it) and his inability to build HP means in a 1v1 he gets outscaled hard by every toplaner. Literally all of them.

You may not want him to be a support just because he isn't a "traditional" support, but a support he is.

Yeah, sure, perfect jungle kit, what with his atrocious stats for jungling and his low HP clears and im pretty sure a first time udyr will just steamroll you if they ever decide to check what youre up to.

Riot really messed up with this one... and the problem is that his kit isn't good enough to be a jungler or solo laner. He's stuck in no mans land.

Just look at jax, camille, aatrox, all of them have a pretty nada wave clear until they buy tiamat. Pyke have a Dash to escape and heal to himself, so he can survive top lane perfectly. I dont know why u still saying he is a support.

I kind of understand what you're saying, however Pyke is incredibly weak in almost every other role. His waveclear and damage without his ult are insufficient to work properly in the top or mid lane, jungling him seems like a better choice until you realize just how squishy he is, how little damage he actually does (again, without his ult). I have video proof of this: his jungling damage is sometimes low enough that champions like Urgot can just completely ignore him and continue what they were doing before he showed up. His range also isn't long enough to function as an ADC. But he also isn't really a support considering he has neither any utility nor enough tankiness to be a meat shield like Alistar or Nautilus . Pyke is just Pyke, and there really isn't any other way to put it. If/Until he gets a rework he really isn't good outside of the support role.
