Suggestion for Honor System: Loser bonuses?
So, I was thinking: It kinda takes a special level of composure and play to stand out as honorable in a losing game, especially given a lot of the toxicity that gets thrown your way in those situations. It also takes a pretty good amount of good will to honor an ally who did well, even when you lost. That said, I think it'd be cool if Riot were to integrate small bonus rewards (pretty much just a boost to honor progress/points toward honor capsules) when a non-premade teammate honors you after a loss, or when you honor a non-premade teammate. I believe that this will create a field where people will feel more reason to act positively, even when losing in a game, and make the game more fun for everyone all around. The reward shouldn't be so great as to create incentive toward throwing a game but looking good while doing it to get honors- but rather should be a small bonus to make a nod toward the players that put their all into a game- lose- but lose gracefully in the eyes of their allies. Hence why I feel it should only be a small progress boost toward more rewards in the future. I also stress "non-premade" because more often than not the premade players will usually honor their friends after a hard game anyway. This should also create incentive to honor people you don't know that impact the game in a positive way for you as well, even in the face of defeat. What do you guys think?
