I understand now, Riot, as to why you keep buffing/reworking champions to be more flashy.
It's because the new runes are so stale that they can't even handle a 20-minute game without ruining it by the 15-minute mark.
It's not fun farming in lane less when teamfighting is even shorter since absolutely everyone is constantly getting instagibbed. There is legit, straight-up nothing going on so often on the map because of this; teams will group once as 5 and one-shot each other after 10 boring minutes of nothing but creep waves. Then everyone goes back to farming until the next menial objective spawns that everyone feels somewhat obligated to go to until a team completely runs away with it/completely throws the game. And it's all thanks to runes. All of it. I'm not even exaggerating.
When lategame tankiness and sustain existed before this season there was also sieging, frontlines, objective fighting, and split strats that actually had anything to do with teamwork whatsoever. Now fights last 2 seconds and no one survives them unless they're fed or with a sliver of health remaining thanks to Triumphant. Everyone's either dead or about to be all the time which causes games this season to be much less exciting than before despite being dramatically shorter. The only things that can possibly circumvent this boringness that is also flashy and new is new mechanics like new Akali's smoke bomb, mobility and hard CC or new Aatrox's sustain and ult.
Riot, if you want shorter games just make towers worth less so that you can make them more brittle. Although some champions deserve reworks like Akali, stop trying to compensate for the game's balance through champion reworks and new champions. Don't leave the game in a state where no one can withstand champion damage thanks to Electrocute, Celerity, Sudden Impact, STUPID BURST PER SECOND PRECISION RUNES AND GROUP-PUSHING ANY TOWER MIDGAME TO GET A 1K+ GOLD LEAD AND POSSIBLY AN EASY KILL!!! This is LUDICROUS, and needs to be watered down ASAP to the point to where one NEVER considers building around a single one of these runes - let alone keystones - when choosing them. Let runes do so little that most keystones work on anyone so if players aren't trolling when they take the wrong runes!
Make teamfights longer by toning down runes in general, but make killing turrets easier (but not give nearly as much gold). If y'all want shsorter games, that's how you do it. Literally let it be easier to end games. Don't leave runes as blatantly overpowered as they are and let them ruin games before they're even halfway over. AND THEN NEVER BUFF RUNES AGAIN! EVER!!!!!
