Surrender Logic

With season 5 coming up, are they going to finally make surrendering make sense? a 3/2 vote still doesnt pass even though thats 60%. A 3/1 vote doesnt pass even though its 75%. It's really annoying when 3 people want to quit playing a toxic game but 2 trolls refuse to hit yes, or hit anything at all, and force you to keep playing or get marked "Leaver" otherwise. A quick solution to this would be to make the surrender vote based on percentage, anything over 50% passes, as well as if a player doesnt vote, their vote is taken out of the equation.

I think it should be all 5 votes for a yes. Do you not know how often games are thrown over stupid mistakes? If I am 7/1, I don't care that you fed your lane. I am trying to win. I don't need you intentionally losing the game by surrendering.

I think (In ranked) surrendering should be completely removed, or have a unanimous vote of the entire team.

3/1 does pass. It's 75% or more of active players voting yes. Not sure what game you're playing.

Half of the threads whining about surrender want it to be easier, the other half want it harder/removed. It's a pretty good compromise where it is, and they're unlikely to change it unless there is a huge outcry one way or the other.

While I agree in ranked, surrendering should be removed, in normals, the point of the game is to have casual fun. If 3/5 players arent having fun, are getting frustrated, or feel like they are having a toxic experience due to trolls, they should be given the option to opt out. Even if ONE player on your team is fed, that is ONE out of FIVE players that are having a positive experience. Riot needs to take into consideration that not all games are a positive experience, especially with the community that this game has. In regards to 3's, all players should have to vote yes because there are such few players. And by a 3/1 vote i mean a 3 voted yes, 1 voted no, and 1 didnt vote. If you dont vote, your vote doesnt count, just like in any other voting situation. My idea of making surrendering easier in normal games is to reduce the time spent in toxic or frustrating games, and increase the time spent learning and having fun with the game.

This is so true. They really need to fix the surrender option and make it so that it's a majority rules type thing. If it's a 3 vs 2 then the 3 should win obviously.

IMO they should make it easier to surrender. Also the time should be moved to 15 minutes instead of 20. I have limited time to play and I don't want to waste my time playing games that are toxic, not fun, and that we have no chance of coming back from.

I think it should be a simple majority among non-grouped players (the group gets 1).

This way duo+ queues can't muscle out and force surrender votes.
