Does late game not exist anymore?

So I used to play this game back in 2010-2012... I stopped at the start of season 3 (or what ever season was after TPA won I remember because I bought TPA mundo skin)... Gave my account to my little bro and moved on... One thing I remember though was that even though there was salt it was never as bad as this. Take in mind I am only lvl 13 and have a lot to learn as my favorite champions I can't unlock, and when I do, they are completely different... Like I looked at gangplank and WTF!

Anyways, I have noticed basically every game is about 20minutes max... By the 5-10minute mark both teams have decided which team is most likely to win, and at 15 minutes everyone forces a team fight even if its a 3v5... Who ever wins that team fight wins the game... Not because anything significant happened... But due to the losers now trying to FF... And if they can't FF they just throw... By doing the same team fight 24/7.

I have also noticed, it's always the exact same champions every game... Whether or not it's on the free list... I will have a Yasuo, a Yi, a Teemo, Garen etc...

I fiqured that since I am mostly only playing with smurfs... I can tell because they arn't as new as me... For instance I pick random ass crap for items trying stuff and get yelled at... Or I tell people that I can't jungle and they blow up on me... (Everyone thinks I am a smurf because apparently in this game having boosted in your name means your a smurf)

But, back to my question... With all these smurfs... Where is the late game? I remember back in the day my average game was 45-60minutes long... That the real fun didn't start till late game... Champs like Ahri were never used because at lvl 18 you only had 1 cc and no damage...

Where is my late game? I am tried of these games being thrown by either my team or the enemy team...

Riot decided Lategame isn't "fun" for assassins, so they removed it. Same for Turrets, and armor feeling like a worthwhile purchase.

Late game is 17-19 minutes now. That's late game.

This is depressing to hear... I was hoping that I would hear, that I just have to get into ranked, or higher lvl....

This destroys so much of what LoL was... Playing top lane for 20 minutes straight, even if you were behind, a decent gank or realizing this player was getting overly confident could change the game... Or I remember playing Mid against an Arhi or Rhyze with Akali or Kayle... Just survivng until mid game... Then I would dominate... This honestly makes me wonder if I should even come back... So much has changed and I am realizing it's not the same game I used to love...

I wanted to double check so I dug around, I found a post from 2011 asking how long games were, and the answers were around 40-50minutes. Found another one from 2017 and it said 25-35minutes...

No wonder my team mates are so cancer.... If this game isn't their 20/0 game, screw it... Just FF and start the next game... You play 4 games in the time 1 used to take...

I looked at my play history... I had 1 game at 40minutes and some seconds... 2 in the 30 minute mark... The rest are 20minutes or lower....

And when I think about the "old days" I never really remember surrendering at all... I think it was in the game, but I can't recall a game ever coming to a surrender.
